If you create, rename, or delete a folder while offline (or on flaky internet), the change is queued locally and syncs when connectivity comes back.
What you see
The folder change appears to work immediately — the UI updates
In the background, the change is held in a queue
When you have internet, the queue processes and the change is pushed to our servers
How to know it synced
If you close and reopen the app, or check on another device, the change should be there. If you only see it on the device you made the change on and not elsewhere, the sync hasn't completed yet.
Speeding up sync
Background and reopen the app — triggers sync on launch
Go online — obviously. If you're on airplane mode, disable it.
If a change seems lost
Occasionally a queued change might not sync successfully (e.g., if it conflicts with another change made on a different device). Try making the change again — the UI reflects current state.
Reliability today
We've been tightening up sync reliability. If you're seeing repeated issues with folder changes not saving, please contact support — it helps us track down patterns.
Routine generation is different
Generating a routine always requires an active internet connection — there's no offline generation queue. If you're offline, the generation request will fail outright rather than queue.
