Play / Pause

The big center button. Pauses the timer and freezes the exercise in place. Resume by tapping again. Pauses are tracked in your session stats (so you can see how long you actually worked vs. how long the session took).

Skip

Moves to the next exercise. The skipped exercise is marked as skipped in your completion stats — it doesn't count as done, but it doesn't derail the session.

Double-tap to skip

Tap the center of the screen twice to skip. Same effect as the skip button. Handy when your hands are on equipment and you want to bail on the current exercise without hunting for the button.

Tap the timer

Taps the timer or exercise card to expand it for a larger countdown view. Tap again to collapse.

Stop Routine

Ends the session early. You'll see a confirmation before it actually stops — the partial session is still logged with whatever you completed.

Audio and haptics

  • A beep/chime fires on exercise transitions so you can stop looking at the screen

  • Haptic feedback (vibration) confirms pause/play and transitions

  • Respects your phone's silent mode and volume

The rest timer

Between exercises, a short rest timer counts down. It's part of the designed routine — the time is what the AI chose based on exercise intensity. You can skip through it with the skip button.

Per-side exercises

Some exercises switch from one side to the other automatically — see Per-side and alternating exercises for how that works.
